Schultze vaults her way to another personal best
Junior's mark of 14 feet, nine inches good enough for first-place finish at Besigheimer Abendsportfest

BESIGHEIM, Germany- For the fifth time this season, junior Martina Schultze, member of the women's track and field team, vaulted her way to another personal best. At the 2013 Besigheimer Abendsportfest in Besigheim, Germany, Schultze hit the 14 feet, nine inch (4.50 meters) mark to top her previous best.

Schultze’s jump was good enough for a first-place finish and a spot in the record books for the best vault at Gustav-Siegle Stadium

As a sophomore this past year, the Uhingen, Germany native won both indoor and outdoor ACC titles in the pole vault. Schultze earned first team All-America honors after finishing eighth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, following a third-place indoor finish in the winter.
