BLACKSBURG, Va. – Two women’s relays competed today at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. The women’s 400-meter relay team of Ebony Scott, Funmi Alabi, Zakiya Tyson and Ogechi Nwaneri won the third heat and placed 12th overall in 45.69. They will advance and compete in tomorrow’s Women’s 4x100 College final at 1:05 p.m. The women’s 1,600-meter relay squad of Yvonne Amegashie, Alabi, Tyson and Natalie Woodford finished 17th in 3:42.97 and will compete in the next round of the women's 4x4 on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Events at the Penn Relays continue tomorrow with multiple men’s relays, the next round of the women’s 400-meter relay and Ronnie Black in the men’s high jump. Events also commence at the Radford Invitational in Radford, Va.
