Hunter Hall wins pole vault in Tennessee
Sets a new PR that ranks fourth all-time at Tech

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The men’s pole vaulters were in action today at the Sea Ray Relays, hosted by the University of Tennessee. Hunter Hall won the event, setting a new personal best of 17-8.5 (5.40m) that puts him at fourth all-time in the Virginia Tech record books. Also competing were Jared Jodon in third (17-0.75, 5.20m) and Joe Davis in seventh (16-0.75, 4.90m).

Next week marks the halfway point in the outdoor season as the Hokies head south to Duke University in Durham, N.C., for the 2011 Outdoor ACC Championships. Three days of conference competition kick off on Thursday, April 21 with the men’s and women’s discus, javelin, 10,000 meters, and the start of the combined events.
