Tech track begins indoor competition
Distance runners and pole vaulters to split between two meets

Virginia Tech kicks off its indoor track season this weekend, sending a handful of distance runners and pole vaulters to meets at Appalachian State and Liberty.

The distance runners will compete at the Appalachian Invitational in Boone, N.C. on Saturday Dec. 4, while the Hokies’ pole vaulters will head to Lynchburg, Va. for the Liberty Kickoff. The women’s pole vault is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the men begin five hours later at 2:30 p.m.

After the holiday break, Tech resumes its indoor season, hosting the Virginia Tech Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 14 and 15.
