Berman Wraps Up Weekend at IAAF World Junior Championships
Earns Tenth Place Finish

Virginia Tech freshman Jared Berman wrapped up a weekend of competition at the IAAF World Junior Championships, competing in Sunday’s 3,000-meter steeplechase finals. Berman placed tenth in a field of 12, coming in at 8:57.53. The Fairfax, Va. native clocked in under 9:00.00 for the second time this weekend, earning a personal best in Friday’s preliminary heats (8:55.33). Jonathan Muia Ndiku, representing Kenya, earned the win, crossing the line at 8:23.48.
