Women's 4x400-meter relay opens up Penn Relays

Hokies finish ninth in the race

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Virginia Tech women’s 4x400-meter relay squad opened up the Hokie track and field teams’ Penn Relays on Thursday in Philadelphia, Pa.

The quartet, consisting of senior Queen Harrison, freshman Yvonne Amegashie, senior Asia Washington and sophomore Aunye Boone, clocked a time of 3:37.34. Tech finished third in the second heat of the race and ninth overall.

The Penn Relays continues tomorrow, with the Hokies first event, the women’s shuttle hurdle relay, scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Results will be available on hokiesports.com.
