Responsibilities: Vaccaro serves as the academic coordinator for the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field program and the women’s soccer program. He also is in charge of running and overseeing the SAASS Mentor Program.

Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2013

Prior to Virginia Tech: Vaccaro served as the assistant director at UNC Greensboro for Spartan Academic Support Services from 2009-2011 and then as director from 2011-2013. Over that span of time, he worked with all 18 Division I sports programs. Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant coach for cross country and track and Field at UNCG.

Education: University of North Carolina Greensboro, 2007 (B.A. in English) and 2011 (M.A. in English).

Personal: A native of Hillsborough, New Jersey, Vaccaro lives in Blacksburg with his wife, Stephanie, who is a reading specialist at Gilbert Linkous Elementary.
