Responsibilities: Administrative Assistant to Senior Assoc. AD for Facilities and Operations, Men’s and Women’s Golf Coaches, and Asst. AD for Game Operations. Invoice processing for all Athletic Facilities.

Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2007

At Virginia Tech: Smith is responsible for processing all invoices for inside and outside facilities, administrative assistance to Tom Gabbard, Cara Walters, Casey Underwood, Greig Denny and both men’s and women’s golf.

Prior to Virginia Tech: Smith was blessed to be a "stay at home" mom and helped raise children of those that had to work outside the home. She was also a secretary for St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.

Education: Graduate of Blacksburg High School

Of Note: Has worked at Virginia Tech for over 16 years, half of which was spent in electrical engineering. She is a Notary Public for the Commonwealth at Large.

Personal: Smith grew up in Blacksburg and married her high school sweetheart, Gary. She has two boys and enjoys watching the Hokies, spending time with her granddaughter and relaxing with friends and family.
