Responsibilities: Rodriguez oversees patron relations as well as database management for the ticket office. She strives to deliver a meaningful customer experience tailored to changing patron needs while maintaining the Athletics Department vision. She enjoys coaching the ticket office staff on new initiatives, hot topics and patron concerns. Her main priority is to make a lasting connection with patrons to build a relationship of trust, camaraderie and loyalty. She savors the challenge of finding workable solutions and making someone’s day better. The ticket office business is all about people, inside and out.

Education: Virginia Tech, 1989 (B.S. in horticulture)

Prior to Virginia Tech: Rodriguez worked in the landscape industry 15 years in design, retail & wholesale sales.

Fun Fact: Rodriguez grew up on the Virginia Tech Dairy Farm just across the intramural field from Lane Stadium and always cheered with the crowd when Skipper would boom.

Personal: Rodriguez loves to garden. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking and attending as many of my daughter’s sporting events as possible. She is active in her church and her daughter's school. Her family loves to travel to their family farm outside Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. They savor the chance to catch up with family and soak in the rural surroundings. She finds real joy in exploring new places with friends and family and loves a trip to the beach any time of the year.

Her favorite Hokie athletics memory to date: Sitting in the East stands with a large group of friends and family that had come in for the Georgia Tech game in the fall of 2000. A severe thunderstorm was bearing down on the stadium. The start of the game was delayed and then later cancelled just as they saw a lightning strike that hit way too close to the stadium. They later learned that it had struck the rental car of ESPN analyst Lee Corso.
