Responsibilities: Football, Tutoring Program

Joined VT Athletics Staff: June 2015

At Virginia Tech: Mitchell started as a football academic intern in June 2013, worked in that position for 2 years while I got my masters from Virginia Tech in Instructional Technology. Mitchell also worked as the tutor coordinator from June 2015-June 2016. She started as the Assistant Director in Student Athlete Academic Support Services working with the Football team and overseeing the tutorial program in July 2016.

Education: Radford University (2013) Exercise, Sport and Health Education with a concentration in Sports Administration

Of Note: While at Radford Mitchell played varsity softball for four years

Personal: Born in Kokomo, Indiana, Mitchell has also lived in Plant City, Florida, Riverside, California and Mechanicsville, Virginia where she attended Atlee High school. Mitchell is married to Daniel Mitchell from Blacksburg, Virginia and currently resides in Blacksburg. The couple is expecting their first child, a boy. They enjoy anything that involved sports, being active and being outside.
