Responsibilities: Gavagan is the lead marketing contact for men’s soccer and baseball. He coordinates all Hokie Villages that occur before football games and act as the faculty representative for men’s basketball’s Cassell Guard. Gavagan also acts in a supporting role for football and men’s basketball.

Joined VT Athletics Staff: August 2015

Prior to Virginia Tech: Gavagan served in the marketing department at the University of Notre Dame during the 2014-2015 athletic season as the lead marketing contact for men’s and women’s soccer. Spent the 2013-2014 athletic season at Wake Forest University as a Marketing Assistant, where he oversaw marketing efforts for field hockey as well as men’s and women’s tennis.

Education: Siena College, 2010 (B.S. Marketing/Management); Canisius College, 2014 (M.S. Sport Administration).

Personal: A native of Clifton Park, N.Y., Gavagan now lives in Christiansburg.
