Bruce Garnes is in his first year in the Virginia Tech Equipment Room as an Assistant Director with Equipment Services.

Prior to joining the Equipment Staff, Garnes spent 18 years on Virginia Tech football staff in Football Operations. Garnes served 4 years as a student manager for football while a student at Virginia Tech.

Garnes graduated from Virginia Tech in 1994 with a degree in Sports Management. Garnes received a Masters Degree in Higher Education from Virginia Tech in 1996.

The Ridgeway, Virginia native is married to the former Ashleigh Waddle. Garnes enjoys golf, jogging, and watching Hokie Athletic Teams compete.
