Hokies set dates for fall games and Maroon and Orange series

Fans will have multiple chances to catch the Hokies at Tech Softball Park this fall

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech softball team has announced their 2017 fall schedule, which includes nine games at Tech Softball Park and the annual Maroon and Orange series.

The Hokies open fall ball on Sunday, Oct. 1, with games against Pffiefer University and Roanoke College at Tech Softball Park. West Virginia Wesleyan will come to Blacksburg for a doubleheader the following Sunday before twin bills against Richard Bland on Saturday, Oct. 14, and Milligan on Sunday, Oct. 15.

The Maroon and Orange series, Tech’s annual best-of-three intrasquad scrimmage, will be held at TSP on Sept. 27, Oct. 4 and Oct. 11. All games are open to the public and free of charge. The complete fall schedule can be found below.

Pffiefer vs. Roanoke: 12 p.m.

Pffiefer vs. Virginia Tech: 2 p.m.

Roanoke vs. Virginia Tech: 4 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 8

West Virginia Wesleyan vs. Virginia Tech: 1 p.m. (DH)

Saturday, Oct. 14

Richard Bland vs. Virginia Tech: 2 p.m. (DH)

Sunday, Oct. 15

Milligan vs. Virginia Tech: 1 p.m. (DH)
