INAUGURAL LEAD OFF BANQUET A SUCCESS
More than 125 people came out to support the Tech softball program at its inaugural Lead Off Banquet on Jan. 27 in the South End Zone of Lane Stadium. A total of $2,750 was raised for the Virginia Tech Softball Foundation. A chunk of the money from the silent auction will be donated to the Intellectual Disabilities Agency of the New River Valley.
“I appreciate everyone that was involved in our inaugural Lead Off Banquet; those that donated items for our silent auction, the people that bought tickets to attend and Top of the Stairs for providing the food,” head coach Scot Thomas said. “It was a great night, a great evening, and I look forward to many more this season.”
