GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the third consecutive week, Maggie Tyler has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Co-Pitcher of the Week with North Carolina’s Kendra Lynch while Sydney Broderick of Florida State picked up the Player of the Week honor.

Tyler pitched the Hokies way to history on Wednesday with their highest-ranked win at home against No. 7/6 James Madison, allowing one run and striking out eight. On Sunday, Tyler set a new single-season record, tossing her 16th win of the season against Louisville. The senior gave up a mere four earned runs in 24.1 innings of work, posting a 1.48 ERA through three complete games and four appearances. Tyler allowed three hits and one walk while striking out seven in the 4-0 shutout at Louisville.

Tyler garnered the conference honor for the third straight week, fourth in her career. Florida State’s Jessica Burroughs is the only other ACC pitcher to receive the award multiple times this season (three).

Broderick led the Seminoles to a perfect 4-0 week with both her bat and her glove as Florida State posted a sweep over NC State this weekend. The Ashburn, Virginia, native batted .545 with six RBI and posted a slugging percentage of .909 for the week. She tallied two hits, scored at least one run and drove in at least one run in each game of the three-game series with the Wolfpack.

North Carolina’s Lynch posted an ERA of 0.98 for the week and posted a 2-0 mark with one save as the Tar Heels posted a 2-1 eight-inning road win at No. 10 Georgia and took two of three in their ACC series at Boston College.

Tyler and the Hokies returns to action on Wednesday, taking on Longwood in a doubleheader, before hosting Notre Dame on Saturday and Sunday.
