Tennessee game postponed to April 15

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Mother Nature continues to wreak havoc on the Virginia Tech softball team as weather has forced more changes Tech’s schedule. Sunday’s scheduled doubleheader against the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill has been canceled due to wintry conditions and icy weather in the area. Tech and UNC will try and play a doubleheader on Monday at Anderson Stadium with the first game scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Additionally, Tuesday’s scheduled home opener against No. 13 Tennessee has been postponed due to field conditions at Tech Softball Park. The Hokies and Vols have been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 15 at 4 p.m. in Blacksburg. The game will still be broadcast on ESPN3.
