BLACKSBURG - ESPN and the ACC released the spring softball broadcast schedule this afternoon, and seven Virginia Tech games are scheduled to be featured across the platforms in addition to two HokiesXtra games.
Tech’s first appearance will come in its home opener, on Tuesday, March 3 as it hosts perennial national power Tennessee in a single game that will be broadcast on ESPN3, an online-only broadcast.
The doubleheader against defending ACC champion and 2014 WCWS participant Florida State will be broadcast on ESPN3 on Saturday, March 21 at Tech Softball Park.
The final two games on ESPN3 will come on Saturday, April 4 as ACC newcomer Louisville comes to town and both games of that doubleheader will be shown online.
The Hokies will also have a pair of games broadcast on HokiesXtra: vs. Elon on Wednesday, April 1 and against Radford on Wednesday, April 22.
Tech’s final home game of the season, against NC State on Sunday, April 26 will be shown live on ESPNU at 3:30 p.m.
The Hokies open their 2015 season in 10 days on Friday, Feb. 6 at the Kickin’ Chicken Classic, hosted by Coastal Carolina, in Conway, South Carolina.
