Hokies add two to 2014 recruiting class
Counts, Mehr to join the softball program

Virginia Tech head softball coach Scot Thomas announced Tuesday the addition of two players who will join the Hokie softball program as part of the Class of 2014. Jordan Counts, from Ashburn, Va., and Jessie Mehr, from South Lyon, Mich., join an already stellar class who will enroll at Tech in August. Mikaela Aiken, Breanna Davenport, Baylee Jensen, Caroline Schoenewald and Chelsea Whitcomb were announced in November.

“We are excited to have both Jess and Jordan join our squad in the fall,” Thomas said. “Both have different talents that could help our program. Jess is more of a power hitter who can compete for playing time right away and Jordan can fill roles in many different ways to help the team win ACC titles.”
