Saturday's home athletic events affected by Thursday snow
Football scrimmage moved to Monday, softball pushed back for now

BLACKSBURG (hokiesports.com) - Saturday’s home athletic events on Virginia Tech’s campus have been moved around due to Thursday’s snowstorm that came through town.

Football’s open scrimmage, originally set for 2:45 p.m., will now be held Monday afternoon with stretching strating at 4:30 p.m. It will still be open to the public and will be held in Lane Stadium. Fans should enter through gates 4 and 5 and sit on the west side of the stadium.

Softball’s scheduled doubleheader against Georgia Tech has been pushed back tentatively to 4 p.m. at Tech Softball Park. Administrators will re-evaluate the playing field at noon tomorrow to determine if that start time will stand or be pushed back. The two teams will also play Sunday, so a doubleheader is possible if both games can’t be played Saturday.
