"Totally Rad" '80s Nights planned this week for softball and baseball
Teams to celebrate the decade in throwback style

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech softball and baseball teams will hold back-to-back ‘80s theme nights this week at home contests

Softball will kick off the festivities on Tuesday at 4 p.m. with a doubleheader versus Liberty. The first 200 fans will receive a free neon Hokie T-shirt and sunglasses. The ‘80s theme will be carried throughout the night including everything from the music to video board features. The doubleheader versus Liberty is also the softball team’s final regular season home date and as always, admission is free.

Baseball will hold its ‘80s night Wednesday when the Hokies take on VMI at 5:30 p.m. The first 300 fans receive a neon Hokie T-shirt and sunglasses. Additionally, the first 250 Tech students receive a free hot dog and chips as part of a Student Appreciation pregame tailgate. The throwback theme will also be carried out through the entire game. Baseball games are played at English Field and admission is free.

‘80s Night Schedule:

Softball: Virginia Tech vs. Liberty (DH) - Tuesday (May 1st), 4 pm

Tech Softball Park - Admission is free

Baseball: Virginia Tech vs. VMI - Wednesday (May 2nd), 5:30 pm

English Field - Admission is free
