Special promotions surround home softball series vs. No. 21 Florida State
Games feature top two teams in ACC heading into the weekend

BLACKSBURG – Several promotions surround this weekend’s home softball series vs. No. 21 Florida State as the Hokies and Seminoles battle for first place in the ACC. All home softball games are held at Tech Softball Park and admission is free.

In game one, which will be played Friday at 7 p.m., Virginia Tech will honor all current and former military members in celebration of Military Appreciation Night. The first 250 fans will receive a free VT Tumbler Cup and all military personnel and veterans can show their ID at the promotions table for a chance to win official Virginia Tech Nike apparel throughout the game. Additionally, The Highty Tighties and the Corps of Cadets Color Guard will be in attendance to perform the National Anthem.

Saturday’s doubleheader versus the Seminoles (noon start) will be kicked off with the HokieBird Easter Egg Hunt at noon on the soccer practice fields located behind Tech Softball Park. The event is free and open to all kids 12 and under. This year, more than 3,000 eggs and prizes will be up for grabs, including several mystery eggs containing great prizes!

Saturday’s doubleheader, sponsored by Cycle Systems will also be Price’s Fork Elementary School Day and Stroke Awareness Day in partnership with the American Heart Association.

Game 1: Friday, 7 p.m.

Games 2 & 3: Saturday (DH), noon

Admission is free for all Virginia Tech regular season home softball games.
