The Virginia Tech Athletics Department launched a softball fan guide on the department’s website, hokiesports.com, on Monday. The interactive pages include photos, player pages, videos and links to more information and history about the softball program. This guide can be updated throughout the season with highlights, the latest videos, or anything else deemed appropriate by either the staff or the Athletics Communications Office.

The Hokies will open the season this weekend with five scheduled games in Jacksonville, Fla., on the campus of Jacksonville University. A full preview of that tournament will be available on Wednesday.
