BLACKSBURG - Fans of Virginia Tech Athletics now have more ways to stay up-to-date with the Hokies with the launch of official athletic sites on Twitter in conjunction with hokiesports.com.
Each sport now has its own Twitter page, run by the Virginia Tech Athletics Communications Office. Fans can sign up for all, or some, of the individual sites to get the latest on each sport. Stories posted on hokiesports.com, as well as quick in-game updates and short tidbits of information will be posted when relevant to give fans another way to keep up with their favorite teams.
Fans following @hokiesports on Twitter can still get all of the links to every story posted on the official website of Virginia Tech Athletics, hokiesports.com, but now can choose which sports they want to follow closer.
There is also fan page on Facebook that is updated with news, ticket information, promotional offers, upcoming events, trivia and more. Once a fan of the page, one can receive updates on Tech Athletics on the site.
