BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech head softball coach Scot Thomas announced Tuesday that sophomore pitcher Abbie Rexrode (Fincastle, Va.) and freshman outfielder Hollee Warlitner (Clifton Forge, Va.) have asked for, and been granted, a full release from their scholarships. Both will finish up the fall semester at Tech and transfer for the spring semester to the college of their choice and can continue to play softball if they so choose.

“We wish both Abbie and Hollee well as they move forward with their college careers,” Thomas said. “Both have been granted releases are expected to transfer to the Division II or III level and I am sure they will have great success wherever they land.”
