Softball staff to hold a pair of December clinics
All are welcome, but spots are limited
September 29, 2009
The Virginia Tech softball staff will hold a pair of clinics in December to help youngsters continue in their development with the game. The first camp will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5 and will be for pitchers and catchers. It will run from 9-11:30 a.m., and then from 1-3:30 p.m., with a lunch served in between. All pitchers must bring their own catcher (i.e. dad, brother, friend, etc.). They will not be charged and they will not be participating in the catchers’ clinic. Catchers from the clinic will catch for the pitchers sometime during the afternoon session.
The second clinic will be a day later, on Sunday, Dec. 6 and will be for hitters. It too will run from 9-11:30 a.m., and then from 1-3:30 p.m., with a lunch served in between.
The clinics cost $75 a piece and they are for ages 14-18 years old. For more information, call Coach Barb Sherwood at 540-231-3063.
