Women’s Tennis

The Hokies, who are undefeated on the season, look to continue their success as they host Wisconsin on Friday at 3 p.m. and Clemson at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The match against Clemson on Saturday marks the beginning of ACC play. Tech is 1-0 all-time against Wisconsin and 5-16 all-time versus Clemson. [Full Preview]

Men’s Basketball

The Hokies continue their three-game spread at home as they host Louisville on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Cassell Coliseum. Tech looks to clinch their 10th ACC win of the season after upsetting No. 15 Clemson on Wednesday night. This was the Hokies third win over a top-15 team this season (No. 2 UVA and No. 10 UNC). Louisville heads to Blacksburg on a two-game losing streak. Tech has not beaten Louisville since 1991 and is 8-32 all-time versus the Cardinals.

Lacrosse

Fresh off a win over Campbell on Wednesday, the Hokies host No. 10 Duke in the Indoor Practice Facility at 3 p.m. on Saturday. In their last meeting, Tech beat Duke 11-6. It was the first time the Hokies had beaten Duke in their 20 total matchups. Emma Crooks scored eight goals on Wednesday, tied for the second highest total a Hokie has ever had in a single game.

Men’s Tennis

The Hokies host a doubleheader on Sunday, playing Gardner-Webb at 12:30 followed by Davidson at 4:30 in the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center. Tech is 7-1 on the season after giving up just one point to Richmond and shutting out St. Bonaventure in their last matches.

The Virginia Tech track and field teams head to Clemson, S.C. to compete in the ACC Indoor Championships over the weekend. The No. 17 men’s indoor team looks to defend their title as they head to the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex, where Torben Laidig owns a facility record in the pole vault (5.45 meters; 17 feet, 10.5 inches). All five disciplines will be heading to Clemson this weekend, with Vincent Ciattei (mile), Patrick Joseph (800) and Laidig (pole vault) looking to defend their titles, as well as the men’s DMR. The No. 15 women’s team looks to earn their first win since 2006. Lisa Gunnarsson returns to Clemson holding the facility record in pole vault (4.46 meters; 14 feet, 7.5 inches). The Hokies men’s swimming team traveled to Greensboro, N.C. to participate in the ACC Championships, which started Wednesday. They are currently fourth through three events. Tech finished fourth in the 800 free relay with a time of 6:20.18, the second fastest time in program history. The event will conclude on Saturday. [Full Preview]

The Virginia Tech Softball team heads out on the road again as they travel to Austin, TX to participate in the Texas Tournament. Their first game is set to begin at 10 a.m. on Friday versus No. 21 Ohio State, followed by No. 20 Michigan. On Saturday, they will face No. 20 Michigan again and finish their day against Texas. They will play Wichita State on Sunday before returning home. Tech has won six games in a row following a 0-2 start. [Full Preview]

Tech is set to head back on the road again as they travel to New Orleans to participate in the University of New Orleans Tournament. The Hokies started their season last weekend in the Coastal Carolina Tournament, where they went 1-3. A 14-6 win over Oklahoma gave Coach Szefc his first win at the helm of Hokie Baseball. They will face Iowa at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, followed by New Orleans on Saturday and finishing the weekend against Ball State on Sunday.
