BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced on Tuesday the release of applications for participants in the second annual Hokies Fan Focus Group. As part of our continued efforts to improve the fan experience, the group will assist the athletics department in the evaluation and enhancement of all Virginia Tech home events.

Made up of a diverse group of fans, they will meet multiple times over the next year with administrators and staff. The goal of each meeting will be to allow the athletics department to listen to the feedback of the members as they express their ideas and suggestions. This year’s participants will join last year’s inaugural group in providing input and advice on all things Virginia Tech athletics.

Applications will be reviewed by members of the athletics department staff, with the goal of bringing together a diverse group of fans both in demographics and affiliation. The selected members of the focus group will be announced on Wednesday, July 27, with the first meeting scheduled for the weekend of August 13 in conjunction with the third annual Fan Day. Members of the focus group will serve for one athletics year beginning in August of 2016.
