Hokies recognized by NACMA
Season ticket sales campaign named third nationally by national marketing organization

DALLAS, Texas – Virginia Tech finished third in the 2015-16 NACMA Best of Award for season ticket sales campaigns, as selected by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators.

Virginia Tech and its This Is Home campaign, was publicly recognized today during the 25th Annual NACMA Convention. The awards presentation was in the Chantilly Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 13 awards categories are contested. Each category has a gold, silver, and bronze award winner in three groups. The winners are voted on by NACMA past presidents, NACMA conference representatives or strategic communications committee members.

The Awards Committee has a set of criteria that each submission is judged on. The criteria was established to keep the judging process transparent and give the membership guidance on which promotion to submit for consideration.

In the season ticket sales campaign category, all elements of a comprehensive campaign to sell season tickets are judged. Criteria includes: 1) Quantifiable results of the promotion (number of tickets sold, revenue generated); 2) Originality/creativity; 3) Multi-platform or cohesive plan through different mediums (continuity); 4) Cost-effective and show value. This category was judged by NACMA Past Presidents.
