HokieBird needs your help to travel across the USA
Fans asked to send a photo of the HokieBird in all 50 states
November 15, 2010

Virginia Tech’s beloved mascot, HokieBird, needs your help to travel across the country and appear in every state. Similar to the popular Flat Stanley children’s book, Hokie fans are asked to take a picture of a HokieBird stuffed animal, bobble head or figurine in front of the many famous landmarks throughout the United States (i.e. the Golden Gate Bridge, Statue of Liberty or St. Louis Arch). The photos should only include the HokieBird, sorry no people, with the recognizable landmark in the background. Our goal is to have at least one picture in front of landmarks representing all 50 states. The best pictures from all entries received will be used in the 2011 HokieBird poster and those fans will receive a commemorative signed poster. Fans should email their photos to bdigiacomo@vt.edu by December 1st.
