Hokies wrap up fall slate at Georgia Tech Invite

ATLANTA – The Virginia Tech men’s tennis team wrapped up its fall slate on Sunday during the final day of the Georgia Tech Invite. Jason Kros claimed a win in singles while Abraham Asaba and Chase Bernstine teamed up for a doubles victory.

Jason Kros squared off against Georgia State’s Giles Hussey. Kros took the opening set 6-2, but faltered in the second 3-6. He came back strong in the third to win it 6-2.

In doubles Asaba and Bernstine paired up for a hard-fought win over South Carolina’s duo of Wood Benton and Thomas Mayronne, knocking off the Gamecocks’ tandem 87-(1).

The Hokies will be back on the court January 12-14 at the University of Texas Invite. Tech will host its first home match Jan. 19 with a doubleheader versus Liberty and NC A&T.
