Hokies run at ITAs ends in quarterfinals
Harper/Korsgaard fall to Florida duo

TULSA, Okla. – The Virginia Tech men’s tennis duo of Mitch Harper and Henrik Korsgaard fell in the quarterfinal round on Saturday at the 2017 ITA Men’s Tennis All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The 31st-ranked Harper and Korsgaard had won four consecutive matches, advancing out of the qualifying draw to the main draw at the national event. On Saturday, the Hokie duo squared off against Florida’s McClain Kessler and Duarte Vale with the Gators’ tandem taking the match 6-3, 6-3. Kessler is ranked in singles, while Vale is tabbed as one of the top-10 freshmen in the country by the ITA.
Virginia Tech will return to the court Oct. 19-24 at the ITA Regionals in Lynchburg, Virginia.
