Harper/Korsgaard down nation's No. 20 doubles to advance in main draw

TULSA, Okla. – Virginia Tech men’s tennis’ Mitch Harper and Henrik Korsgaard continue their run, advancing in the main draw doubles at the 2017 ITA Men’s Tennis All-American in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Hokies’ 31st-ranked tandem came out of the gates strong, picking up the 6-4 decision in the opening set over Oklahoma’s 20th-ranked duo of Spencer Papa and Jake van Emburgh. In the second set, the Hokies continued to roll, securing the win 6-3.
Tech will return to the court on Friday to face No. 7 Niclas Braun/Trevor Foshey of Mississippi State who defeated North Florida’s No. 23 Jefta Kecic/Lasse Muscheites in a battle, 1-6, 7-5, 12-10.
