Hokies set for ITA All-American Championships

Three Hokies make trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech men’s tennis team will send three of its members to the ITA All-American Championship at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, beginnign Monday, Oct. 2.

Alex Ribeiro and 123rd-ranked Henrik Korsgaard will play for the Hokies in the qualifying singles matches.

Mitch Harper, ranked 122nd, will also represent the Hokies. Harper picked up the singles title last weekend at the Milwaukee Classic and additionally qualified for the ITA Fall National Championships in November.

Henrik Korsgaard and Mitch Harper will pair up for the qualifying doubles draw. The pair is ranked No. 31 in ITA Division I Men’s National Doubles Rankings.

The Hokies will open play on Monday, Oct. 2 in the qualifying singles matches. Contestants picked for or who advance to the main draw are scheduled to begin on Oct. 5.
