Corbett, Korsgaard fall in NCAA Doubles

ATHENS, Ga. – Senior Jai Corbett and freshman Henrik Korsgaard battled to a super tiebreak on Thursday afternoon before falling in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Men’s Doubles Championship at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia.

The 24th-ranked Tech duo squared off against Texas Tech’s 18th-ranked Bjorn Thomson and Connor Curry. Corbett and Korsgaard came out strong, winning 6-0 in the opening set, but the TTU tandem responded to win the second 6-4. In the super tiebreak, the Red Raiders completed the comeback to win it 1-0 (10-6).

The pair wraps up the spring with a 7-5 tally.
