Hokies announce spring slate
Men's tennis has 10 home contests in 2017

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men’s tennis team announces its 2017 schedule which is highlighted by matches against 12 teams that appeared in the final ITA poll last season.
Tech is coming off its 10th consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Hokies finished with an 18-9 record, and return two members of the line-up after losing five of their top-seven players from last season’s squad to graduation.
The spring schedule will begin Jan. 28 at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Tech will travel to Los Angeles, California and will play San Diego during the first day. The Hokies will follow up with a match against either host-team USC or ETSU. Tech will remain on the road for a match at Texas on Feb. 4.
Virginia Tech’s first home contest is slated for Feb. 11, a doubleheader with St. Bonaventure and Davidson coming into the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center. Tech will also host College of Charleston on Feb. 21.
The Hokies will open the ACC slate on March 4 against Duke at home. Tech will also play host to ACC foes North Carolina (March 19), Notre Dame (March 24), Clemson (March 31) and Georgia Tech (April 15).
Tech will be on the road for league matches against NC State (March 17), Wake Forest (March 21), Louisville (April 2), Virginia (April 7), Florida State (April 21) and Miami (April 23).
The ACC Championships are scheduled for April 26-30 in Rome, Georgia.
