Kros, Cartledge claim wins on day one at Seahawk Fall Invite

WILMINGTON, N.C. – George Cartledge and Jason Kros got the Virginia Tech men’s tennis team off to a strong start, picking up a pair of wins in singles on the opening day of the Seahawk Fall Invite in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Following a morning rain delay, the Hokies finally took the court in the afternoon when Cartledge opened with a win over Boston College’s Aidan McNulty, knocking off the Eagles’ player with straight set scores of 7-5, 6-2.
Kros knocked off BC’s Sean Mullins 6-4, 6-2 to take the match in straight sets.
Tech will return to the court on Saturday for the second day of action at the Seahawk Fall Invite at the UNCW Tennis Courts.
