TULSA, Okla. – The Virginia Tech men’s tennis team wrapped up play on Monday at the 2016 Men’s Tennis ITA All-American at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Tech was on the court today for the doubles qualifying draw where Henrik Korsgaard took the court with Alexandre Ribeiro. The Hokies’ duo fell to Memphis’ pair of Ryan Peniston and Andrew Watson, 6-2, 6-0.
The Hokies’ Jai Corbett and Mitch Harper battled San Diego State’s Santiago Cevallos and Milen Ianakiev. The Tech pair won the opening set 6-2, but Cevallos and Ianakiev rallied to take the second 6-2. In the super tiebreak, SDSU held on to win it 1-0(5).
Virginia Tech will return to action, hosting the ITA Regionals on Oct. 13-18 at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Virginia.
