WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Virginia Tech men’s tennis team continued its strong play at the Wake Forest Fall Invite with three players advancing into their respective flight finals on Saturday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Freddy Mesmer moved into the C1 Singles finals with a straight set 6-2, 6-1 win over Radford’s Sam Taylor in the semifinal round.
In the D2 Singles, Rafael Ribas claimed a win, defeating Giorgi Datashvilli of Campbell, 6-2, 6-1.
Tech’s George Cartledge also advanced on a walkover.
The Hokies will wrap up the tournament on Sunday at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
