BLACKSBURG, Va. – Members of the Virginia Tech men’s tennis team are set to compete this weekend at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational, Nov. 6-8 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Representing the Hokies are Jason Kros, Freddy Mesmer, George Cartledge and Rafael Ribas. Each player will compete in both singles and doubles. In doubles, Kros and Mesmer will team up while Cartledge and Ribas take the court together.
In addition to the Hokies and host team Wake, other teams competing are Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Indiana, NC State, Liberty, Tennessee Tech, East Carolina, UNCG, Old Dominion, Navy, Dartmouth, Penn, Georgia State, Georgia Southern and Norfolk State.
Matches are set to begin each day at 9 a.m. Friday’s schedule is one round of doubles and two rounds of singles. One round of singles will be played on Saturday and the tournament will wrap up with one round of both singles and doubles on Sunday.
