CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia Tech men’s tennis team wrapped up the final day at the UVA Ranked +1 on Sunday in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Hokies’ 58th-ranked Andreas Bjerrehus claimed the third place finish in the Blue Draw on a walkover of ODU’s 42nd-ranked Carlos Lopez Villa.
Tech’s 14th-ranked Amerigo Contini was slated for the third place match in the Orange Draw against teammate Aaron Gomez, but instead competed against Middle Tennessee’s Gian Issa. Contini downed Issa in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0.
The Hokies will return to the court for the ITA All-American Championships, Sept. 27-Oct. 5.
