COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) recently awarded Virginia Tech men’s tennis player Trpimir Kujundzic with its annual All-American Strength & Conditioning Athlete of the Year. The award recognizes student-athletes dedication to strength and conditioning.
Kujundzic, a senior from Zagreb, Croatia, is a four-year member of the tennis team. He has tallied over 55 singles wins and more than 45 wins in doubles during his career at Virginia Tech.
Kujundzic was selected for the honor by strength coach Ryan Shuman, SCCC, USAW, who stated, “Trpimir is a great leader who has a great work ethic.”
This year the NSCA awarded 229 collegiate and high school athletes from 98 schools with this esteemed award. The program recognizes those athletes whose athletic accomplishments, in the opinion of their strength coach, reflect their dedication to strength training and conditioning. These athletes are also recognized for their academic and personal accomplishments as well as their integrity as student-athletes. The award program is in its 34th year.
