Hokies wrap up day two at ITA Nationals
Men's tennis will open the spring slate on January 19 in a doubleheader

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Virginia Tech freshmen men’s tennis players Andreas Bjerrehus and Amerigo Contini wrapped up day two of the ITA/USTA National Indoor Championships on Friday at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

The Hokies’ duo fell to Armstrong Atlantic’s Dan Regan and Georgi Rumenov 8-5 in the men’s consolation bracket. Armstrong Atlantic finished last season a top the Division II National rankings and Rumenov was part of the No. 1 doubles team with former teammate Mikk Irodoja.

Virginia Tech men’s tennis will open the spring season at home on January 19 at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center against College of Charleston and Longwood.
