Hokies fall on first day of ITA Nationals
Tech duo advances to consolation draw
FLUSHING, N.Y. – Virginia Tech men’s tennis freshmen Andreas Bjerrehus and Amerigo Contini fell to 3rd-ranked duo on Thursday during the opening day of the 2012 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
Bjerrehus and Contini fell to the Ole Miss pair Jonas Lutjen and Nik Scholtz with a score of 8-2. The Hokies will face Dan Regan and Georgi Rumenov of Armstrong Atlantic State on Friday in the consolation draw.
