BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech men’s tennis team will compete in the 11th Annual UVa Fall Classic, Oct. 5-7 at the Snyder Tennis Center in Charlottesville, Va. Competition begins at 9 a.m. each day.
Joining the Hokies and host team UVa are players from Binghamton, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, East Tennessee State, George Washington, James Madison, Liberty, Morgan State, Norfolk State, North Carolina Wesleyan, Penn State, Richmond, VCU, Wake Forest and William & Mary.
Representing Tech over the weekend will be Trpimir Kujundzic, Marko Lovrinovic, Hunter Koontz and Aaron Gomez.
Gomez will compete in the blue singles, facing Richmond’s Jesse Feder in the opening round. Lovrinovic will play College of Charleston’s Charlie Ghriskey in the white singles while Kujundzic squares off against CofC’s Josh Record in the red singles. Koontz rounds out line-up, facing Claes Goransson of VCU in the black singles.
Koontz and Gomez will pair up in the blue doubles against Liberty’s Dillon Segur and Guilleme Secanel in the opening round. In the white doubles, Kujundzic and Lovrinovic will face William & Mary’s John Banks and Aaron Chaffee.
Friday’s schedule begins with two rounds of singles followed by one round of doubles. Saturday’s slate will feature one round of singles and two rounds of doubles. The tournament will conclude on Sunday with the final round of singles.
