TULSA, Okla. - The Virginia Tech men’s tennis team wrapped up competition at the 2012 ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday in Tulsa, Okla.

Freshman Andreas Bjerrehus squared off against Duke’s 76th-ranked Raphael Hemmeler in the singles qualifying draw. The two battled to three sets with Bjerrehus taking the first set, 6-4. Hemmeler came back for close 7-5 win in the second and secured the match with a 6-4 win in the third.

Bjerrehus paired up with fellow freshman Amerigo Contini in the second round of the qualifying doubles draw after having a first round bye. The Tech duo fell to Harrison Adams and Shane Visant of Texas A&M, 8-4.

The Hokies will be back on the court this weekend, Oct. 5-7, at the UVA Fall Classic in Charlottesville, Va.

Doubles
Harrison Adams/Shane Visant (Texas A&M) def. Bjerrehus/Amerigo Contini (VT) 8-4
