GREENSBORO, N.C. – With the win against Florida State on Sunday, the Virginia Tech men’s tennis team earned the No. 4 seed for this weeks ACC Tennis Championship, April 19-22 in Cary, N.C. The Hokies earn a bye through Thursday’s opening round.
Tech (11-10, 7-4 ACC) will play the winner of the first round match between Florida State and Miami on Friday, April 20 at noon. The 51st-ranked Hokies played both teams during the final weekend of the regular season. Tech defeated 63rd-ranked Miami 6-1 and 29th-ranked FSU 4-3.
Virginia earned the No. 1 seed after going undefeated in the league. North Carolina and Duke are the second and third seeds, respectively.
