BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Tea Ivanovic captured the women’s singles title over teammate Isel Martinez-Marcos on Sunday afternoon in the ITA Summer Circuit tournament at Virginia Tech. The Tech duo also paired to take the doubles title. The event was played at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on the Virginia Tech campus.
Ivanovic captured the women’s final with a, 6-2, 6-2, vicory over Martinez-Marcos. The pair defeated Layla Tanik/Melis Tanik by default to take the doubles crown.
On the men’s side, Tech signee Hunter Koontz lost a tough, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (0), 1-0 (7) semifinal to Christian Lee-Daigle.
