Six Hokie student-athletes named to VaSID Academic All-State Team
In all, 174 honored from across the state's schools

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The 2011 Virginia Sports Information Directors Association Academic All-State team was released on Friday with 29 schools and 174 student-athletes being honored for their academic performance this past school year.

Each school was allowed to nominate six deserving student-athletes who were at least a sophomore and had a minimum of a 3.2 grade point average for the honor. The team includes all levels of college athletics in Virginia.

Below are the six student-athletes who made the squad from Virginia Tech.
