BLACKSBURG, Va. – Two members of the Virginia Tech men’s tennis team will travel to Charlottesville, Va. this weekend to participate in the UVa Ranked Plus One Invitational. The Friday-Sunday event will be played at the Snyder Tennis Center.

Luka Somen (Jr., Karlovac, Croatia), ranked No. 52 nationally in singles, and Patrick Daciek (Jr., Severna Park, Md.) will represent Tech in the tournament. The tournament will be the first of the individual season for Somen, the 2009 ACC Freshman of the Year and a member of the 2010 All-ACC team after posting an outstanding 25-10 singles record. Action begins each day at 9 a.m. at the Snyder Tennis Center and admission is free.
