BLACKSBURG, Va. – Four members of the Virginia Tech men’s tennis team won their respective singles flights on the final day of the Virginia Tech Challenge. Patrick Daciek, Sebastien Jacques, Luka Somen and Corrado Degli Incerti Tocci all won their respective flights with Somen and Jacques going undefeated. The Hokies were joined in the event, played at the Burrow-Burleson Tennis Center on the Virginia Tech campus, by players from Arkansas, Clemson and Mississippi State.

The format of the event included eight singles flights and four doubles flights with round-robin competition in all flights. There was no team scoring in the event and winners in each flight were determined by the following method: 1) won-loss record, 2) head to head, 3) total sets won and 4) total games won.

The Virginia Tech Challenge was the final event of the fall season. Tech returns to action on Jan. 22-24 when they host the Hokie Challenge.
